Flattery. yah i dont mind it if its all in the name of good fun. but please please dont use it just to curry favour ( this is a general thing). giving an example, this person goes " oh all of u are so pretty ...", etc etc. yes once is fine (of cos i say " where gt??! u blind ar"), second time i can still tolerate, but when this "flattery" repeats from the same person on the same day, it starts to get on my nerves. i mean it's not true why say it? rarh....
i know myself well enough, of cos i know where i stand in terms of looks and apperance. i gt xin1 zhi1 du4 ming2 de. but in my 16 years , nobody i know has say tht i'm ugly right in my face before, excluding all those childhood name-calling la. haha u ugly pig! unfortunately or fortunately that record was broken by a 9year old little boy i met for the first time. so u must be thinking: why are u bothered by a comment from a lil' boy? haha cos simply(aft telling me to "diam" ( keep quiet) a few times ) he looked at me and said , " you look like donald duck... " i was thinking hmm..donald duck, very funny wad . den he said " ..as ugly.." (in mandarin) his words were like " bam!" right into my face. i admit i didnt know how to react, although its most probably jus another of pri sch children prattle, haha but he looked serious . yes but one thing i know is that he was looking out for my reaction. and guess what i replied?*lost for words* den " thank you" and laughed, den the boy got back to do his sums. wahahaha.that is very weird i know. tell me how to react then? i cant possibly grill him for saying that cos he has the freedom of saying who's ugly and who's not.

i relate about that incident cos' kids say the darnest things but what they say is what they mean. the adorable rascal with pinchable cheeks said it so frankly that i got a shock and the shock turned into amusement. yes, i rmb how we were as little rascals too. the boy was so natural that it almost seems like he gives his own personal comments to people everyday. i certainly do not think he will say that to a girl when he's 21, he may risk getting a hard stare or worse a slap frm that lucky girl. and yah, so the difference btw a child and a teen+adult. From a child, 100% no superficial words. from us, hmmm what can i say leh?
