if u have notice today's ( 30th may) Life section, i guess under the june holidays segment, bottom right hand corner, there's this feature on a RI swim team vice cap. just a small feature bout' his holiday plans. once i saw his face, haha i recognized him immediately.....he's my neighbour or so called ex-neighbour( we lived opposite each other). as kids we were qte close, my sister and i, his elderbrother, lil' sister and him . actually both families were close. and now the funny, hamburger bandit ( the Macdonald character), likeable small boy has turned into the ' Holiday HUNK', so as Life calls him. haha the term HUNK seems qte ahem for the boy i know as a kid. yah but who knows, he's the vice cap of a swim team. and yes, i took a peek at his blog ( shown on paper ). wow....he's really into sci-fic man. but yeah, that is the ben i know. double wow...his english is superbly cheeeem. wahahaha, mine is like hmmmmmmmm, simply uncomparable. don't blame me i didnt go to UWC! yup, we guys kinda lose contact after they left for hongkong and us moving house to bkt timah.

Here we go again, yet another round of changing of teachers.
Mrs chew left and is replaced by a NIE newbie. Mr chin is leaving soon and will be replaced by another newbie. Mr Goh is leaving too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! his reason was that his teaching workload is getting heavy, so he will be concentrating on the IPs. he's very very very nice, reasonable, good, doesnt say anything when we are late. we will be having our third econs teacher for this year then.

ok, the human body has dunnoe how many multi-illions of cells. i just check it out on the net, according to a source it says "100 trillion" cells. erm how many zeros is tht i truly have not a slightest idea. now, imagine taking all the DNA out of the trillions of cells and lay it out all straigtened, above you. That will be like stacking 100 trillions of Yao Mings on your head. haha so i guess all of us can be very giantic ppl...abstract rite.

i know i know...how all of us wish we could go back to the ny days. yah, but no we cant..i mean how can la, tell me.
i thot abt it, how mornings in ny are so so different. i miss dragging my shoes to the classroom where later songxuan will complain tht i very noisy. i miss pahing down on my table in the front row. i miss hearing liying entering the classroom soon and pahing dwn on the table nxt to mine. i miss seeing xx walking like a dead zombie into the room and immediately pahing dwn on the table. i miss banging on the table to wake xx up. i miss wenyen switching off the lights and chasing us down. i miss rushing down the stairs to the quadrangle for morning assembly. i miss standing behind marilyn( 179cm) who blocks my view. i miss sooky swaying behind me. i miss us stoning during reading period. erm and shld i say i miss ms lee's croaky voice? all these in the morning.

been blog surfing arnd, its like many aren't liking their college culture . argh...when i hear their stories i wld go " huh? really" or " tht bad? ", e.g yx stories, poor her got chase away cos she sat on the so called " ruggers" table in the canteen. like wad??!maybe i am still living in the happy and innocent side of nj or maybe i just havent known any ppl who are evil or experience anything extremely bad. haha.or maybe as i said before i am just not involved- detached, hmm

n ly seems very stressed out in hci and i dunnoe how to help her. i tell her " soemtimes its best not to compare", but heck i cant even do tht in her situation. its difficult, very in fact. like how not to when u r in a class with more than half having 10/9 A1s? yikes...scary. i suggested tht she cld transfer to nj, hmm... which is a rather useless + not feasible suggestion. hiax.

did i mention that writing GP essay really is ARGH!!!! Here i am right in front of the com, thinking of what to write for the GP essay due tmr. I've been cracking my head since yesterday. It was worse yesterday, i cldnt even write down the 1st line. cos its been a long long time since i wrote one ( tis is my 1st this yr), i dont usually write argumentative too. im not the sort who's good at arguing, haha. Now at least i have a few paragraphs, but experiencing a writer's block, so decided to channel my creative juices ( if i have any) to blogging. GP essay is worse than PI, i've decided. at least for PI i cld crap stuff up, but for GP no no, i cant, i'm confined within the topic of "The paper chase undermines the true aims of education. Discuss" whats there to discuss???! of cos it does, thts why i am writing this piece of crap, so that when common test comes i can at least write a decent essay. erm..but i dont think i will. cos i dont have all the time in the world like now to think abt it.

haha i touched so many today ( preparation for college day food fair), im like immune to it. von was the main chef ...her cutting is so so pro! den all i cld do was standby and help her cut the fats here and there. btw, we chang2 tu2 ba2 she4 all the way into Turf city giant to buy stuff and it felt like i was going on a Journey to the west, haha cos it was really really hot. hope we make profits tmr .....

OCS ( Officer Cadet school) outing:

one good thing bout it..we were let off early! actually not really,since our fri lessons end about the same time.so... chey.
neway at OCS we asked Mr chin( Cvics tutor) a question: " Why are there so many female magazines?" erm yah, we saw lotsa female magazines at the benches where cadets/officers get to relax. According to mr chin " 1. There arent many men magazines around, even if so they are qte boring ( e.g about fishing ) 2. It is satistically proven tht with more female magazines ( ok better to say reading more female magazines) cadets show more leadership."
so we were like 'woah'..does that make any sense? i think it does, with all those biological stuff about raging hormones . really.
next up, we visited the cadets' bunks. btw, the bunks are all clean n tidy. 3 out of the 4 bunks that were opened for us to see had their walls plastered with FHM babe posters and lingerie adverts. haha an eyeopener for us all, especially girls cos we know nothing about guys in army. the last of the four bunks was considered normal or should i say "abnormal" cos the room walls were decorated with sports related magazine cuttings, very innocent. Yup... interesting, but i cant imagine that these are the rooms of the smartly-attired cadets we saw marching along the pavements of OCS. ok, it should not be all of them, cannot generalize, it is a fallacy( what i learnt in el druing ny days)!!! still, these are the defenders of our country who go through extremely tough training everyday. OCS has LTs where they have lectures on theory part ( e.g ammunitions) plus they have tests too . u know, when u fight u gotta have brains too?? cannot有勇无谋 ( you2 yong2 wu2 mo1). den we were wondering why the LT have no tables, so i shall assume tht they do not have to take down notes. wah so li4 hai4, need to fignt and study at the same time. hehe.

My weird Dream:
i must write down fast or i will soon forget. first time i rmb details so clearly.its really really weird, makes me want to laugh.

dunnoe how but i found myself in this examination venue. guess what? i am not the student but the invigilator!! hahax...the students were from secondary 2 and they were having the EL paper . crazy, but the examination venue is at a fast food joint - KFC!! hahahaha.so i was like giving out the papers and the papers were already used by others and had answers on the top so like wad the ...i was having problems giving out the papers cos everything was so messed up. after papers were given out, the students started. i was walking about den i realized that 2 students were doing a Sec4 paper!! crazy agn, den i try finding papers for them. i forgot what happened next . knowing that these 2 students have lost some time ( in my dream i am still the very nice person i am in reality, so bhb) but i asked the other teacher to give them more time. but he/she says NO. so erm, too bad for them.

what happens next is even more weird. yx, mandy, xx walked in ( yes!! all of u appeared im my weird dream, honoured??) so i was like hello hello. den we sat around table. hmm...i think this KFC worker came up to us and gave us a drink saying that he/she owe us a drink we ordered last time. i rmb it was KFC cos of the blue uniform. yup den yx mandy xx and i started talking. xx and mandy were takling abt a guy whose name i didnt catch at first. if i m not wrong xx say " 他现在皮肤很黑 ( translation: his skin is very dark)", mandy was like " yah loh", den something like she dont really like him le because of tht.
somehow i asked if it was " 郭品超 (taiwan actor guo1 pin2 chao1)?" cos that was the guy everyone is like talking abt nowadays, dunnoe why i say tht but i have nvr watch any of his drama serials. yupz...they say 'yah' thats the person they are talking abt. i asked why he became so dark. den mandy replied " he went cannoning"... -.- ''' get it? it's suppose to be canoeing, but cannon produces similar effect (abit mean, paiseh) cos of the explosion ( visualize cartoons!!! i think i watch too many).. not bad, mandy still keeps her lame quality in my dream, how lame can she get???!!n i manage to get her lameness in my dream..i rmb myself laughing tho its very cold.

PI was rejected.not totallybut now i have to think of more stuff, the idea has more or less change.and the final thing is 13th may.

Requirements:
1) what on earth is the problem present?
2) is the problem a significant one in singapore?
3) do i have any credible evidence to back up that this is a problem?
4) there have to be a succesful example elsewhere in the world tht have solved that problem
5) use the example, modify it and bring it into singapore to solve the problem
